Programme

Our programme has a strong technical and scientific approach towards AI research: mathematical AI foundations and hands-on programming make up a large part of the curriculum. It consists of compulsory core courses, specialisation courses and a thesis. The programme covers a wide range of topics, such as Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Parallel Computing, Fairness and Intelligent Agents. In courses on these topics you build a solid understanding of AI.

All courses are taught by world-renowned researchers who are experts in their field. The majority of lecturers are also involved in collaborative research with industry players so you benefit from in-depth knowledge of AI applications in practical situations.

What you will learn

  • You gain techniques to analyse and propose solutions to AI problems
  • You will be able to select the most appropriate solution, considering innovative alternatives
  • You can present rational and reasoned arguments using appropriate conceptual tools
  • You are trained to work effectively in a team to design, develop and deploy AI-based systems
